You can estimate the contribution or calculate it. This is how it works: Your analytics have told you how often individual criteria were met to make someone a customer. You convert the frequency of the criteria into a rating.

Setting up lead scoring in HubSpot
The setting itself is a bit hidden. FirstĀ  you need to go to the main settings > Properties > search for “HubSpot Score” > “Edit”. Then this window will open:

Working with the scoring
Scoring itself is not the goal, but a tool for lead qualification. Therefore, the last step is to use scoring for day-to-day lead qualification. After all, we want to find out in an efficient way which leads are worth starting sales activities with.

For example, you can create a list in HubSpot that dynamically stores all leads with a score of more than 30 and who have visited our b2c fax website at least once in the past 30 days. This list could look like this:

Here again, the scale mentioned above (0 – 100 points) is important. This helps to create lists. These lists help to get a quick overview and also to see whether the settings are correct.

For example, your lists could look like this:

MQL list: 30 – 40 points
An additional list can also be created here with MQLs that have a particularly high priority (e.g. everything over 35 points)
SQL list: 60 – 70 points
Here, too, an additional list can be created with SQLs that have a particularly high priority (e.g. everything over 65 points)
‘Bad-Fit’ list: These leads do not need to be further processed by sales.
Important: If this list is too large, the scoring model should be refined again.
These lists are not only important for sales, but also for the marketing team: Based on these lists, the team can send appropriate emails, trigger workflows and also set up SMART content (in the form of rich text modules, CTAs or forms).
