The nose
We’re dealing with a 40-proof rum, and since my nose has gotten used to much more powerful rums, this one seems light to me. But if you’re a young enthusiast, don’t be fooled and enjoy it without burning your nose.
The aroma of this rum is peaceful and calm. The first note is caramel, but what really pleases my nose are the woody notes that accompany the caramel. Light, but still very pronounced. It’s a fleshy, well-toasted woody aroma.
There’s also a hint of fruitiness to the orange
It’s a candied and delicious orange. It’s very light and pairs very well with the stronger aromas of caramel and wood.
There’s a lovely freshness brought by c level executive list esters imbued with woody aromas. It’s very pleasant.
It gives me the impression of being in a cellar with just the right humidity and several rows of barrels lined up against the walls. The floor is a mixture of gravel. This gives a slightly mineral side to the aroma. It’s very light and delicate, but it completes the picture that this rum inspires in me.
The contrast between the nose and the mouth
