What makes this white rum an exceptional rum?
I have had several opportunities to taste Chantal Comte rums , notably during tasting evenings organized by Rhum Attitude .
But the first Chantal Comte rum that I tasted was the Fighting Spirit Blue for writing my first book on rums under 50 euros .
I really enjoyed this tasting
This made me want to learn more about Chantal Comte’s rums. I hadn’t selected the Gold because it was slightly above 50 euros (at least at the time I made my selection) , but I told special lead myself at the time that if it was more expensive than the Blue, it must be very good.
So this is the Gold I bought after tasting the Blue.
I’ve never regretted this purchase. The bottle didn’t last a year. Whether drunk neat or as a ti’punch, I saw the level drop quickly. But I couldn’t limit myself, it was so good.
