The Finnish Football Association’s Read and Move to Fly the Huuhkajats campaign supports, encourages and inspires children to do two important things: reading and exercise. The campaign combines the joy of reading and exercise with the Huuhkajats’ historic European Championship finals venue. The campaign is patronized by Jenni Haukio and the campaign sponsors are. The Huuhkajats’ head coach Markku Kanerva and captain Tim Sparv.
The goal of the campaign
During the spring is, above all, to support, encourage and inspire children to do two important things: reading and exercise.
The campaign is intend for all Finnish kindergartens, pre-schools and primary school students in grades 1, 2 and 3. Groups and classes have the buy phone number list opportunity to collaborate with a local football club.
Teachers can register their class or group by filling out the form on the campaign page by April 19. All registered groups will be include. At least the first 500 people to register will receive their own owl poster and a school-specific book package donated by Otava.
The campaign starts on April 26th
During it, more feathers will be collect for your owl with every reading and physical activity. Owls will encourage participants from a distance and send video greetings and tips. Prizes will be drawn among all participating classes and the best class owls will be award.

According to the award criteria
The debut novel, set in an ancient Finnish fantasy world, is a great coming-of-age story that deals with difference, loneliness, and overcoming one’s own fears.
The Arvid Lydecken Prize is award to a distinguish children’s book. The Arvid Lydecken winner 2021 is Sari Peltoniemi’s book (RanRan Publishing, 2020).
