The festival organizers held a competition in honor of the first (fictional, of course) human expedition to Mars. Contestants were asked to create a series of letters for future inhabitants of Mars.
As Nelly Bonar, one of the event’s organizers, said, the decision to hold Human Settlement on Mars was made rather suddenly, with the goal of getting to know the Festival of Email community better. This move allowed the rest of the community to learn useful things from the winners’ work, to notice their strengths and weaknesses, and, in general, to learn from others’ mistakes without making their own.
Team and Super-Fast Project Collection
In just five days, we had to come up with and put together a project of how the settlers could get to the red planet and return, who or what they could meet there. It was assumed that we would create a kind of guide for those who were eager to build a new world. And we always follow the principle of “for any fuss”, so a team of those who wanted to do a project for the soul, and not for money, quickly assembled.
The Martian team included guys who job function email listlove everything related to the Red Planet: the works of Ray Bradbury and Douglas Adams, the music of David Bowie, and those who wanted to give free rein to their creative side without being constrained by the framework of the technical specifications. As some said: “We needed a little madness ;)”
We desperately stormed and assembled the project:

- Anna Senkina – translator;
- Georgy Burmistrov is a translator.
The most time-consuming part was writing texts for letters and developing designs.
During the creative storming, everyone threw in ideas: there was no distinction between “we are smart and creative here, and you go to your corner and wait for the go-ahead to start layout.”
The storming collective is more than just the sum of the stormers. One person offers a raw thought, another picks it up, a third turns it into an idea. If we came up with ideas individually and then collected them into one dock, there would be nowhere near such a luxurious palette of game.

Through thorns to the stars
The judges assessed all entries according to four criteria:
- accessibility: how accessible and understandable will the content of the letter and its design be for people with disabilities;
- design;
- text;
- general impression.
For some of us, the stumbling block was design, for others, accessibility.
We were forced to give up some jokes and ideas that would be acceptable in our culture but not in another.
For the creative team, the deadline was the uae phone number worst enemy. It was because of it that we rejected some ideas, for example, a letter dedicated to the topic of reproduction on Mars.
And also, the project was created in Russian and English simultaneously.
